As Scotland’s National Academy, the RSE is proud to number amongst its Fellowship some of the most talented leaders, thinkers and practitioners working in Scotland today.
Launched on Tuesday 16 April 2019, the exhibition was displayed in the main reception of the RSE building before moving to Glasgow’s Mitchell Library; it focuses on and celebrates some of the exceptional women scientists within the Fellowship. For more details about the women in the display (and what they’re holding!), view the exhibition guide.
There is a portable version of the exhibition available for loan, if you are interested in hosting either of these at your venue or event, please contact us.
The exhibition launch coincided with an event featuring current and former RSE Presidents, Professor Dame Anne Glover and Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell, and RSE Young Academy of Scotland member and recently elected RSE Fellow, Dr Silvia Paracchini, who all feature in the exhibition. The three women discussed their experiences of being women in science. Click on the link to watch a full video of the event – Being a Woman in Science: Changed Times?
A digital edition of the exhibition is available here.
