We are 6 months into the delivery of the Unlocking Ambition initiative, which is supporting 40 highly ambitious entrepreneurs split between two programmes – one led by Scottish Enterprise and the other by the RSE – over an intensive 12 month period.
To mark the occasion, 20 of the entrepreneurs going through the RSE Enterprise Fellowship programme presented on their progress to date; sharing with an audience of stakeholders of the programme, business leaders, FRSE’s and investors, details on their journey so far and any successes and challenges that they have faced along the way.
Thomas Farrugia, Founder and Director of Beta Bugs Ltd.
Rachael Bews, CEO/Founder ALICAS Ltd.
Reported successes included confirmation of seed investments, completion of A-round financing, team expansions, new clients, new websites and new premises.
Unlocking Ambition Enterprise Fellow Colin Campbell, Founder and Executive Director of Unlocking Potential said, “It has been a fantastic opportunity. The Unlocking Ambition programme is a great accelerator, we have achieved so much in the last 6 months.”
The Unlocking Ambition programme plays an integral part in the Scotland CAN DO initiative; Scotland’s shared statement of intent towards becoming a world-leading entrepreneurial and innovative nation. The RSE was therefore very pleased to welcome Ivan McKee the Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation to the presentations.
