The RSE has responded to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee Inquiry, ‘Brexit: Science and Innovation’. The Committee is considering the actions needed to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities for UK science, research and innovation after Brexit, with a view to informing phase-II of the Brexit negotiations. The RSE response highlights the factors that have underpinned the success of the existing relationship between the UK and EU for research and innovation, and comments on possible future arrangements.
As part of its inquiry, the Science and Technology Committee is hosting a summit later in February which the RSE has been invited to participate in.
