RSE Publishes Advice on Brexit Challenges & Opportunities

As the Brexit negotiations begin, the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) has established an EU Strategy Group and produced four advice papers on the implications of Britain leaving the EU, highlighting the challenges and opportunities now open to the UK and Scottish Governments and EU partners.

Chairman of the RSE EU Strategy Group, Sir John Elvidge commented, “The breadth and complexity of any new relationship with the EU requires careful analysis and thought about the choices for our way forward. The RSE is putting the expertise of our Fellows and Young Academicians, and our wider network, at everyone’s service by offering these initial papers to inform thinking and discussion, with a particular focus on the way the issues affect Scotland.”

The four advice papers are on the following topics:

Migration and Diversity

Research, Innovation and Tertiary Education

Economy, Public Finance and Economic Strategy

Constitutional Law and Government
