RSE calls for a proportionate and flexible immigration policy to retain the UK’s international standing and competitiveness in research and innovation

Responding to the House of Commons Select Committee on Science and Technology on a future immigration policy for science and innovation, the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE), Scotland’s National Academy, stresses the importance of taking a flexible approach to future immigration policy and the need for this approach to take into consideration the distinctive needs and circumstances of Scotland as a devolved nation.
