Professor Paul Wyatt is a medicinal chemist involved in the drug discovery process. Before joining the University of Dundee in 2006, Paul spent five years at Astex Therapeutics as Project Leader and 10 years at GlaxoSmithKline. Paul played a significant part in seven compounds entering pre-clinical development; two are in Phase II clinical trials, including one of the first compounds from fragment-based drug discovery to reach clinical trials. He is currently focused on the translation of basic biology research intro drug discovery, developing world diseases and the use of computational methods to deliver high quality drugs.
