Malcolm H. Chisholm, Distinguished University Professor at The Ohio State University, a Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry and an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences died on November 20, 2015 at the age of 70 following a long illness. Malcolm H. Chisholm was educated in England and moved to Canada in 1969 as a postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at the University of Western Ontario. In 1972 he accepted a faculty position at Princeton University and subsequently moved to Indiana University in 1978. In January 2000 he moved from Bloomington to The Ohio State University as a Distinguished Professor of Mathematical & Physical Sciences. In 2006, he was named Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Ohio State University, and served as chair of the department from 2008 to 2011.
