Professor Lesley Yellowlees is a chemist who focuses on inorganic electrochemistry and in-situ spectroelectrochemical techniques. She has been involved in outreach activities for nearly twenty years and has been actively involved in promoting women in science. She chaired the RSE’s 2018 review group, ‘Tapping All Our Talent’s which evaluated the progress that has been made at increasing the proportion of women working and studying in STEM in Scotland. In 2005 she was awarded an MBE for services to science and a CBE in 2014 for services to chemistry. Lesley is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and was President from 2012 to 2014.
