Professor Eva Hevia FRSE

Professor in Pure and Applied Chemistry, University of Strathclyde.

Professor Eva Hevia is a passionate inorganic synthetic chemist. She is currently developing polar organometallic reagents that operate via unique cooperative effects for application in important organic transformations. These types of reagent are used worldwide in academia and technology for the construction of fine chemicals from agrochemicals to pharmaceuticals through to new materials. Born in Spain, Eva has spent more than a decade in Scotland, first joining the University of Strathclyde in 2003 and has held the role of Professor of Inorganic Chemistry since 2013.
