Professor David Andrew Barry CorrFRSE

Former Professor of Environmental Engineering, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.

Professor Andrew Barry is an environmental engineer with diverse research interests in subsurface hydrology, the vadose zone, sediment erosion, water quality and hydrodynamics. The cross-disciplinary nature of his work arises from his emphasis on environmental processes, mainly in natural settings, which usually involve physical, chemical and biological interactions. Andrew has been based at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne since 2005, with previous roles including Professor at the University of Edinburgh and Visiting Professor at the University of Queensland.
