ON HOLD: Where are the aliens?

Interactive Display

In light of the Scottish and UK Governments’ advice around COVID-19, we have taken the decision to cancel or postpone all the events we had planned up to the end of June.

The rescheduling of this event is underway; more information to follow.

Ever wondered whether there are aliens out there? Come along to the Royal Society of Edinburgh on Saturday June 12th from 10:00 to 1 pm to find out.

A twenty minute talk for all the family will reveal our plans to search for life beyond Earth at 12:30 by Professor Charles Cockell of the University of Edinburgh.

Alongside the talk, and at all other times, come and enjoy the interactive activities on space, planets and life beyond Earth for all ages. Learn how to build a planet, hunt for alien life and see a real Martian meteorite! You can also view our art exhibition on the ground floor: From Prison to Mars: The Space Art and Science of the Scottish Prison Population.

This event is part of a wider event at the Royal Society of Edinburgh on the subject of ‘Extraterrestrial Liberty’.
