Groundbreaking Scientific Opportunities in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Research: a 20-Year View

The RSE and the National Natural Science Foundation of China will be holding a two-day joint research workshop focused on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, working closely with the prestigious Edinburgh Centre for Robotics.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together leading experts from China and Scotland to discuss the current research landscape of Robotics and AI. The workshop will take place over two days at the RSE on Wednesday 12 September and Thursday 13 September 2018. This joint workshop will also provide the opportunity for participants to apply for RSE–NSFC funded joint projects to enable international collaboration in these areas.

The workshop will be jointly chaired by Professor David Lane FRSE and Professor Sethu Vijayakumar FRSE, both Directors at the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics.
