RSE@Inverness: Dino Digs & Monster Myths

This event has passed

Family Event

Join us at the Inverness Town House for this RSE New Year Family Event. The theme of this year’s New Year Event is ‘Dino Digs and Monster Myths’ and it will consider how myths, legends and scientific enquiry have combined to fascinate and inspire our ancient ancestors through to current generations.

11am: Dinosaur Detectives Puppet Show – Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre

The Dinosaur Detectives follow a fascinating journey surrounding the first fossil finds of Mary Anning, William Buckland and Gideon Mantell. Their finds changed the face of history when they discovered bones of creatures that became known in Victorian times as Dinosaurs. A performance with rod puppets, shadow play and large scale projections illustrates the fascination, fun and the conflict that surrounds the search for ‘Dinosaurs’.
