Talk and Q&A
Join the Scottish Seabird Centre for a special edition of their Meet the Scientist series celebrating the accomplishments of women in science.
This February, the Scottish Seabird Centre are proud to be hosting the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s travelling Women in Science exhibition and to mark this occasion, they’re welcoming two distinguished women to the Centre to discuss the topic and share their wealth of knowledge and experiences in their respective fields.
Introducing the evening will be Dr Rebekah Widdowfield, Chief Executive of Royal Society of Edinburgh, followed by a talk ‘From gannets to gizmos – 40 years of seabird research‘ from Professor Sarah Wanless FRSE about her life as an ecologist and her pioneering research into the role of seabirds in marine ecosystems.
Tickets £5 (£4 for members) are available from the information desk in the Scottish Seabird Centre and on Eventbrite.
