A high-level delegation from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) visited Scotland this week and had the opportunity to briefly meet at the RSE on Monday 4 June. The delegation was led by the Deputy Director-General, Mr LI Mengli and comprised 25 colleagues from various CAS institutes, from a range of cities across China, including Dalian, Shenyang, Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing and Kunming. The RSE Vice-President International, Professor Marian Scott, met with the delegation and presented an overview of the RSE, its International programme and held discussions around the successful RSE–CAS partnership to date. Morag Campbell, Assistant Director (Innovation & Research) from the Scottish Funding Council presented to the delegation and an open dialogue took place around a relevant information exchange.
