Fulbright – RSE Scholar Award

We are delighted to announce a new joint award with the US–UK Fulbright Commission. This annual award will offer an academic, from anywhere in the UK, the opportunity to go to a top university in the US for a maximum of three months to carry out lecturing and/or research in any of the following areas: science & technology, arts, humanities, social science, business and public service.

The first recipient to hold the new Fulbright–Royal Society of Edinburgh Scholar Award went out to the US in academic year 2017/18.

In order to apply for this award, you must be able to demonstrate that:

You are a resident in the UK and have a clear and continuing connection with Scotland and that you hold a PhD (or equivalent professional training or experience) in a relevant area before departure to the US.
