Puridify, co-founded by RSE Enterprise Fellowship awardee, Oliver Hardick, has been acquired by GE Healthcare. Puridify and its 17 employees will now join GE Healthcare Life Sciences’ BioProcess business, but will remain at their current location in Stevenage.
Speaking about the acquisition, Oliver Hardick said, “This deal gives full recognition to Puridify’s development team and to the strong potential of the FibroSelect technology platform.”
Puridify is a bioprocessing start-up that was formed in 2013 by Oliver Hardick and Iwan Roberts. Oliver was awarded one of the first Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)-funded Enterprise Fellowships through the RSE Enterprise Fellowship scheme in 2012. It was during this Fellowship that Puridify was established. As the company has grown, it has also received research support through the Industrial Biotechnology Catalyst, with funding coming from Innovate UK, EPSRC and BBSRC.
