CRF European Visiting Research Fellowships in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences - 2008 applications closed
This is a scheme supporting research in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, in Scotland which aims to establish a two-way flow of scholars between Scotland and Europe.

Eight CRF European Visiting Research Fellowships will be awarded each year, normally four in each direction, and they will be for visits of between two and six months' duration. 

The Fellowships provides financial assistance, up to a maximum of £6,000, as a contribution towards the costs of travel and subsistence.
Visits to Europe
Applications are invited from scholars working in Scotland, who should be continuing members of academic or academic-related staff at a Scottish HEI, and whose research would benefit from a short period (2-6 months) spent in a European country outwith the UK.
Visits to Scotland
Applications are also invited from scholars in European countries outwith the UK, who would benefit from a similar period spent in Scotland. (Applications from Europe must be nominated and supported by an academic member of staff of a Scottish HEI.)

CRF Personal Research Fellowships

These postdoctoral Fellowships are for research in

biological,
biochemical,
physical, and
clinical sciences

related to Medicine. 

The scheme runs along similar lines to the Scottish Executive Fellowships, with Personal Fellowships tenable for up to three years. 

These Fellowships are administered by the Caledonian Research Foundation.
