The James Clerk Maxwell Statue Project

Alexander Stoddart is a sculptor with an international reputation.
Edinburgh-born, Stoddart gained a first class honours degree from the Glasgow School of Art in 1980.
His prestigious national, international and royal commissions include:
  Robert Burns/John Wilson Monument, Kilmarnock, Scotland.
unveiled by HRH The Princess Royal (1995)
  David Hume Statue, Royal Mile, Edinburgh.
unveiled by Sir Stewart (now Lord) Sutherland (1995)
  John Witherspoon Statue, Paisley & Princeton.
Paisley copy unveiled by HRH The Princess Royal (2001)
  Princeton copy unveiled by President Shirley Tighlman (2001)
  Buckingham Palace’s new Queen’s Gallery sculpture programme
(Completed 2002)
  Robert Louis Stevenson Memorial, Edinburgh

  Adam Smith Statue, Royal Mile, Edinburgh
